Get Started with the Gallery!
A guide to unlock your full note taking potential with the Notability Gallery.
Are you ready to get inspired and create your best work yet? Do you want to take your notes to the next level, but aren’t sure where to start? This is why we created the Notability Gallery.
The Gallery is our all-new note-sharing platform of over 22,000+ user-made notes, planners, templates, drawings, stickers, and study guides. With thousands of new uploads every week, you’ll never run out of ways to express yourself, tackle your to-do list, or achieve academic success. Come join our community—upload your own content to the Gallery or take inspiration from other Notability users to bring your ideas to life. Here are some examples of what you can find on the Gallery and how you can use it:
Find and study class notes
There’s a whole world of students who study the same subjects as you, so the Gallery is the perfect place to swap notes and share resources. Everything in a note is searchable, including the title, description, and even the handwriting! This makes it easier than ever to find exactly what you’re looking for. You can take inspiration from the notes of other users, download them to use as a template, or use them as new study materials. Try it out!
Browse planners and templates
The craziness of life magically becomes more manageable when events are written into a beautiful planner, but it can be hard to find time to make the planner in the first place. Instead, browse the gallery for pre-made planners and templates to organize your life.
Style your notes with stickers
Stickers in Notability help you put the “fun” in “functional notes!” You can choose from our built-in sticker library, or browse the gallery for thousands of user-made stickers to match the aesthetics of your dreams.
Found a note on the Gallery that speaks to you? Here’s what you can do now!
- Save the note into your own personal library. Once your note is downloaded, you can get to work writing on your template, studying the information on it, or view it side-by-side with your own notes as inspiration.
- If you’re not ready to download the note into your library, you can “like” the note to save it to your Favorites (and show the author some love).
The Gallery consists entirely of user submissions, which means you can add your own creations. Whether it’s a study resource, template, or artwork, we want to see what you make. Here’s a quick step-by-step guide on how to publish your notes.
How to publish your notes to the Gallery
1 . To upload your own note or template to the Gallery, open the note in Notability.
2 . Take a moment to review your notes. The Gallery is a public place — is there private information in your notes? Does everything follow our community guidelines? We are dedicated to making the Gallery a safe space for everyone, and you can help by making sure your notes follow the rules.
3 . In the top left corner of the screen, you’ll see a Share button, pictured below. Tap this button.
4 . From the “Share” menu, click “Publish to Gallery”.
5 . To help your note be more discoverable, add a description, and up to 5 relevant tags.
6 . Click Publish Note, and you’re done! Remember, all notes published to the Gallery are public, so be sure not to add any personal information you’d like to keep private.
You can find more details about publishing notes and other helpful Gallery features in this Help Center article.
If you come across a note that you don’t think belongs in the Gallery (it violates the Community Guidelines or Academic Honesty Policy, shows inappropriate imagery, contains somebody’s personal information, etc.), you can report the note to flag it for review. The team here at Notability is dedicated to making the Gallery a safe space, so we want to hear your feedback!
To learn more about what is and isn’t allowed in the Gallery, check out our Community Guidelines and Academic Honesty Policy. Let’s work together to keep the Gallery safe for everybody.
We are so excited to see what you create, and honored to help you bring your academic success and creativity to the next level. What are you going to upload to the gallery?
